Hi, I’m Tamar! I’m a 17-year-old senior at Beacon High School in New York City—born and raised right here in the city that never sleeps. I’ve grown up surrounded by the arts (theatre has always been part of my family’s DNA), and I caught the bug early. Since first grade, I’ve been performing, and for the past decade, I’ve proudly been a member of Applause New York, a kids’ Off-Broadway theater company where I’ve taken on roles in Mean Girls, Chicago, Spring Awakening, Pippin, Urinetown, and dozens more.

But my creativity doesn’t stop on stage, I love storytelling in all its forms. As president of my school’s Model Congress and through my work on a City Council and a State Assembly campaign, I’ve learned how powerful it is to build up someone’s story and use it to move people toward a cause. That same spark fuels my passion for marketing and social media. I’ve interned with multiple Broadway productions and worked at the theatre marketing firm AKA NYC, where I’ve been able to combine my love for the arts with strategy, creativity, and community building. There’s nothing better than finding the perfect way to connect an audience to a story.

At my core, I’m someone who thrives on connection and creativity; whether that means building a campaign, leading a conversation, or stepping onto a stage, I love turning ideas into something that matters.

When I’m not busy with school, theatre, or work, you can usually find me at a coffee shop with friends, head buried in a book, or scrolling through YouTube discovering my next favorite slime tutorial ;⁠)
